“Offset Agreements” are arrangements in which the seller of a product (or service) agrees to provide additional products (or services) to the buyer as an inducement or, more often, to comply with buyer’s requirements. They are often applied in large, governmental level, global procurements. The agreements are legal trade practices and allowed through seller’s government policies.

The name offset is interchangeable with many other titles used by the various countries worldwide that require it; e.g., industrial cooperation, economic counter benefits, economic / industrial participation, etc.
